2020-2021 Budget Vote & Election Info

Annual Budget Vote & Election

Pursuant to Executive Order 202.26 from Governor Cuomo, this year’s Budget Vote and Board Election will take place June 9, 2020. All qualified voters shall vote only by absentee ballot. The District will make a good faith effort to distribute absentee ballots to all qualified voters as required by Executive Order 202.26. Voters who do not receive absentee ballots by June 2, 2020 should immediately contact the District Clerk via email at ecole@silvercreekschools.org or by telephone at (716) 934-2603, ext. 1900, to request an absentee ballot. 

Absentee ballots will include return postage. Absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5:00 PM, prevailing time, on June 9, 2020.

Please be aware that your ballot will not include a final budget amount listed directly on the ballot. Due to time constraints and printing schedules, the final budget amount for this year's budget proposition will be listed on a budget newsletter which will be included in the ballot mailing. 

Adjourned Public Hearing

The annual budget hearing will be held via Zoom video conference on May 28, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.  


You are qualified to vote if:

1.    You are a citizen of the United States,

       and:

2.    You are at least 18 years of age, and:

3.         You have established the Silver Creek Central School District as your legal Domicile (permanent residence)  ORyou are a registered voter in Chautauqua County with your domicile address within the School District.

Parents or guardians of Native American students who are enrolled and attend the Silver Creek Central School District, reside on the Seneca Nation Territory,  meet criteria number one and two above, and have been residents of the Seneca Nation Territory for at least 30 days are eligible to vote.
