Principal Message

August 17, 2020

Dear Silver Creek Middle School Families:

It is my honor to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year. We are excited to continue the positive progress to ensure our school is safe, responsible, and respectful. We are looking forward to accelerating student achievement, attendance, and helping to prepare all students to be successful and productive learners. Whether we are planning in-person or through remote learning, we have high expectations for our student’s academic and social emotional growth. We will provide students various opportunities and manage our resources equitably to ensure all students achieve.  All students will know, understand, and be able to be prepared, productive, responsible, and engaged.

Our Middle School Orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, 2020.  We will meet in the high/middle auditorium first. After a short presentation, you will be able to “meet and greet” your student’s teachers. Since we are abiding by the Executive Orders and the Department of Health regulations, we will need to limit the number of family members in our in-person attendance to 50 people.  You will have an opportunity to register for the in-person orientation on the middle school website link.  We are recommending one adult & one student.  In addition, there is an option to join the orientation live-online.  The orientations will be recorded and posted for future viewing as well.  Families that have multiple students in the middle school will only need to attend one meeting if you prefer to be in-person.

The times will be as follows:

Grade 8: 4:30-5:30 PM
Grade 7: 5:30-6:30 PM
Grade 6: 6:30-7:30 PM

If you have any questions, please contact the Middle School office at (716) 934-2603 ext. 1400.

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

Enjoy the remaining days of summer.  I look forward to partnering with you this school year.

Sincerely,

Eleanor Payne
Middle School Principal
