It has been brought to our attention that some residents have received tax bills who normally don’t. We appreciate the people who have called to ask questions and bring this to our attention.

Each year, the county prints the tax bills for the schools. This year, we were not advised that those who have their taxes escrowed were included in the printing. Whether or not an individual has taxes escrowed is not information the school district is privy to, therefore we mail all of the tax bills provided to us by the county.

The Director of Property Taxes advised us that all escrow companies receive e-files of all tax bills, but we do encourage individuals to call their bank with any questions.

The District followed the same process we have in the past, and we have a call with the county in the coming week to understand why this happened this year and how we can prevent this from happening again.
