Mrs. Vasko’s 4th grade class decorated Christmas cookies on Wednesday! Each student got a tin of cookies, sprinkles, and frosting. They had a wonderful time decorating and listening to holiday tunes.

Congressman Nick Langworthy (R-23rd District) visited SCCS today to speak to Miss Foley's AP Government students. The students prepared questions ahead of time about topics such as the day-to-day work of a Congressman, logistics of the House of Representatives, policy issues, and more! After a Q&A session with the students, Mr. Langworthy met with Dr. Ralston and enjoyed a brief tour of the building. #BKP #SCCARES

Students have been practicing their notes through winter and holiday themed activities in the music room. Primary students are learning about notating melodies, while intermediate students composed their own snowman melodies which they were able to play in class. #BKP #SCCARES
At our last Board meeting, Kevin Rice, HS Dean of Students, was recognized for his work on the revised Code of Conduct. Mr. Rice was instrumental in the process of revising the code and will be key in implementing it in the new year. Thank you, Mr. Rice! #BKP #SCCARES

On December 12th, students taking Miss Foley's Economics class participated in a business competition in the HS Library. Students and staff who visited the competition received $10 in play money to spend on whatever treats looked tasty. Items for “sale” included cookies, muffins, chocolate covered fruit, and chocolate covered bacon! The students did an excellent job making flyers to market their businesses and providing delicious goodies! #SCCARES #BKP

Brenden, Liam, Ben, and Denver drove circles around Cohoes High School in the Semi-Finals Friday afternoon to earn Silver Creek's first ever trip to the state championships!
