Today the Buffalo Sabres Students of the Game program visited SCCS. Representatives from the organization came in and taught students in 2nd-5th grade a floor hockey lesson. When the class was over, students received a t-shirt and a ticket to a Sabres game (with the purchase of an adult ticket). Pictured here are Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Sills' 5th grade classes and Mrs. Sauda and Mrs. McMullen’s 5th grade classes. Students absolutely LOVED their PE class today! #BKP #SCCares

Dr. Ralston was invited to Mrs. McIntyre's class to enjoy a seasonal play- "The Grinch"! The students worked hard on their performance and did an excellent job. A group of second graders were also in the audience and learned a valuable lesson- Christmas is about more than presents! Happy Holidays! #BKP #SCCARES

7th graders in Ms. Sullivan's class made salt dough oranments last week! #BKP #SCCARES

Thank you to Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Guzzetta and Miss Schneider for this beautiful and inspirational bulletin board in the high school!

Miss O'Connor's class invited Dr. Ralston to visit while they made gingerbread houses! A parent volunteer, Wendy Harrington, brought in all of the supplies and assisted with the process. The students enjoyed telling Dr. Ralston all about their creations! #BKP #SCCARES

Mrs. Vasko’s 4th grade class decorated Christmas cookies on Wednesday! Each student got a tin of cookies, sprinkles, and frosting. They had a wonderful time decorating and listening to holiday tunes.

Mr. Smerka's 6th graders made holiday cards for the Buffalo VA Hospital. The handmade cards will be delivered this week! #BKP #SCCARES

Let's give a shout out to 6th grader Kendall, dressed as Cindy Lou Who today! She says that is all her real hair, and her mom helped her style it! #BKP #SCCARES

Congressman Nick Langworthy (R-23rd District) visited SCCS today to speak to Miss Foley's AP Government students. The students prepared questions ahead of time about topics such as the day-to-day work of a Congressman, logistics of the House of Representatives, policy issues, and more! After a Q&A session with the students, Mr. Langworthy met with Dr. Ralston and enjoyed a brief tour of the building. #BKP #SCCARES

Students have been practicing their notes through winter and holiday themed activities in the music room. Primary students are learning about notating melodies, while intermediate students composed their own snowman melodies which they were able to play in class. #BKP #SCCARES

At our last Board meeting, Kevin Rice, HS Dean of Students, was recognized for his work on the revised Code of Conduct. Mr. Rice was instrumental in the process of revising the code and will be key in implementing it in the new year. Thank you, Mr. Rice! #BKP #SCCARES
