Students in 5th grade have been participating in the Buffalo Bills NFL Play 60 program the past few months and during the month of January we had one of our students, Mia Booth, win one of the prizes. She won a $100 gift card to Wegmans thanks to the Buffalo Bills! The students' goal the month of January was to eat a rainbow of fruits and vegetables. #BKP #SCCares #BuffaloBills

Wells used her writing to speak out about segregated schools and bring light to attacks on African Americans in the south during the late 1800's? Her writing angered the public, resulting in her leaving the south, but she kept writing stories about the discrimination faced by African Americans.
