Ms. Laurenzi's English 11 Honors class has been studying The Great Gatsby. Throughout the unit, students researched various aspects of the 1920s; each group had a topic that they created a notes handout about and a visual representation to teach the class about their topic and discuss how The Great Gatsby relates to their subject. On Friday, they participated in a gallery walk, during which they walked around and learned about the 11 topics covered. Subjects ranged from sports to automobiles, fashion, women's rights, the Harlem Renaissance, and more.

A day of missed school is a lost opportunity for social development. By coming to school every day they’re not sick, your child is gaining social skills that will land them their first job as an adult like time management, collaboration, and problem-solving. #BKP #SCCARES #everyday

The 2025 Homecoming Dance was held on Saturday, October 11, in the high school gym. There was a record number of students in attendance, with a total of over 200 attendees. Students (and chaperones) danced the night away to music played by DJ the DJ. They were able to take pictures at the photo booth and enjoy some light refreshments. It was a fun night, and the chaperones all agreed that it was amazing to see the students having fun and tearing up the dance floor! The homecoming court is as follows:
Lord and Lady (9th grade): Tanner Stern and Lilly Shaw
Duke and Duchess (10th grade): Daniel Thies and Lilly Fox
Prince and Princess (11th grade): Andrew Arnold and Liana Parsell
King and Queen (12th grade): Kolby Jamison and Haleigh Salisbury
