Good afternoon Silver Creek School families,
It is with a heavy heart that I share I am deeply saddened that our beloved veteran Middle School Special Education teacher, Ms. Maureen Quant passed away at her home unexpectedly on Tuesday. Our Crisis Response Team met early Wednesday morning to determine how to best assist our students and staff. We have communicated this sad information to Middle School and High School students that attended summer school. We want you to know that counselors were made available for students/staff Wednesday and Thursday August 3 & 4 from 8:00am – 2:00pm – students should go to the high guidance office area. Students do not have to be attending summer school to come see a counselor. Additionally, if needed, counselors will be available Friday.
If your son/daughter is upset please listen and support them and as needed, encourage them to come to school to meet with a counselor. If you have any specific concerns, please call your child’s building office and speak with the Principal and/or a counselor.
Additional resources have been placed on the District website under the “News feed” and/or on the District Facebook page.
